Dr Stephanie Sieberhagen completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Stellenbosch in 1996. In 1998 she completed her Honours Degree in Translation and Editing through UJ; in 2001, she completed her Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of South Africa. She went on to complete a Masters in Psychology at UJ and a PhD in Psychology through the Psychiatry Department at the University of Cape Town.

Dr Stephanie Sieberhagen has been working in private practice since 2005. She provides therapy mainly to adults and specialises in relationship work (couples/ families). However, her scope of work is much wider than this. She has, amongst a wide range, experience in working with clients who suffer from gender and sexuality issues; grief; trauma as well as pre- and post-operative patients (in and out of hospital).

Stephanie conducts small group sessions, workshops and weekend events for groups with specific themes - such as mother and daughter workshops (dealing with female hormones/ gender-based violence and keeping safe in our society).

She is highly proficient and experienced in lecturing and conducting presentations. For example, in 2014, she lectured for the UCT Postgraduate Psychology Diploma, hosted at Valkenburg. Later that year, she presented research at the 20th Annual Conference of the Psychological Society of South Africa. Stephanie was also a guest speaker at the Cape Town College’s Graduation Ceremony.

Besides psychology and presenting, Stephanie is also passionate about writing. In 1990, she was the editor of her school newspaper. Since then, her written work has been published in various community newspapers, subject-specific publications, online websites, blogs, academic journals and conference compilations.
